Exploring history in Harmony, PA

Tess' 4th grade class traveled to Harmony, PA, for a field trip this week. Brad served as one a chaperone. The guides shared early 19th Century activities common among settlers with the kids like churning butter, preserving food, weaving, quill writing, shake making, tin punching and spinning wool.


They also visited the interesting and unique Harmonist cemetery which features a unique and kind of creepy large stone doorway that opens and closes like a revolving door. Check out all the pictures and videos on our Flickr web site- you can click here.
